My Actifit Report Card: January 13 2020

It was really cold and snowy today. Actually it was cold and snowy yesterday too. There might be an entire half an inch out there now. I guess I'm a bit of lightweight because I kind of hibernated yesterday and didn't do any steps. My friends were out playing disc golf today but I was not feeling like riding my e-bike on the potentially icy streets. (It hurts to fall and I've done that enough as a youth.)

So I just paced around inside today. I kind of made up a new game counting down the loops around the house. For each loop that I went around I remembered about something that stood out in my mind as a memory for that past year.

Most of the years were not very pleasant memories especially when I got down in the teens or less. Next time if I try this, maybe I will try to remember the first pleasant memory I had of that age.

I got down to zero and the Fitbit had not gone off yet so I thought, "What was your face before you were born?" It seemed like a nice Zen thing to think of, lol.

The Fitbit went off then and saved me from coming up with any epiphanies, lol.

I was really impressed with the tanker cars on the train. There were a great many of them heading down towards the refinery.

It reminds me of some really great environmental news that I have heard recently. Someone has found a way to about double the capacity of the lithium batteries. The new lithium-sulfur batteries sound really good.

If you could drive all day without recharging an electric vehicle they could really be practical for using around here.

The new batteries could double the range of my e-bike perhaps letting me go forty miles or more just on the throttle.

That is pretty exciting news to me. We would no longer need to move so much coal and oil around here. The trains are very frequent and have caused some loss of life recently.

In comparison electricity can be very easily moved through wires, or in the best case generated through solar cells right by where the cars are parked.

There were even some suggestions for recharging the electric vehicles on the roadways as they are driven along. That would be some very efficient transportation.
