Mroźna sobota, dawno tak nie było
The landscapes were truly thaw-like, but that was just a disguise. Because in reality, the daytime temperature didn't hover around minus 5 degrees Celsius. I remember winters like that, but that was a long time ago.
Krajobrazy iście odwilżowe, ale to tylko przykrywka. Bo tak na prawdę temperatura w ciągu dnia nie oscylowała w okolicach minus 5 stopni. Pamiętam takie zimy, ale to było bardzo dawno temu.
The birds were soaking up every ray of sunshine today. These low temperatures aren't doing them any favors either. But they're fed and seem happy.
Ptaszki dzisiaj łapały każdy promyk słońca. Im też te niskie temperatury nie służą. Ale nakarmione i chyba zadowolone.
The bitter cold is just beginning to set in. As I write this, it's minus 8 degrees Celsius outside and dropping. It's going to be very cold.
Siarczyste mrozy są dopiero w natarciu. W momencie kiedy to piszę, na zewnątrz jest minus 8 stopni i temperatura spada. Będzie bardzo zimno.
