Thursday's weather remains unchanged - still warm, sunny, autumnal
Today, a bit about thrift. While strolling around the "Morocco" pond, I came across an invention sponsored by the city of Katowice. It's a bicycle counter, enhanced with a thermometer function, or vice versa. It's a novelty, because when I passed it, the counter displayed the number 2. A moment later, when a bicycle passed, the counter jumped to 3. Throwing money down the drain seems to be a favorite pastime of Katowice's authorities. It's beyond words.
Dzisiaj trochę o gospodarności. Spacerując wokół stawu "Maroko" natrafiłem na taki wynalazek, który zafundowało miasto Katowice. To licznik przejeżdżających rowerów, wzbogacony o funkcję termometru, albo na odwrót. Wynalazek świeży, bo gdy obok niego przechodziłem, na liczniku wyświetlała się liczba 2, po chwili gdy przejechał rower licznik przeskoczył na liczbę 3. Wrzucanie pieniędzy w błoto, to chyba ulubione zajęcie władz Katowic. Szkoda słów.
I started at the end, because as usual, I began today's route in the park, walking the usual paths around the planetarium. But the weather is very pleasant for walking, so I have to make the most of it.
Zacząłem od końca, bo jak zwykle dzisiejszą trasę rozpocząłem w parku spacerując klasycznie w okolicy planetarium oklepanymi ścieżkami. Ale pogoda jest bardzo sprzyjająca spacerom, więc trzeba korzystać ile się da.
The birds were fed, but clearly not satiated, because when I left they were still quite hungry for treats. Well, they'll get some more tomorrow.
Ptaki nakarmione, ale najwyraźniej niedosycone, bo gdy odchodziłem miały jeszcze sporą ochotę na przysmaki. Cóż, jutro dostaną trochę więcej.
