A perfect day - Splitboarding Stormheimfjell
One of the things that make me really happy is to follow the flow of life and see where it brings you. Yesterday was one of those days and it has brought me to yet another incredible place or base camp as we like to call it.
I live in a bus with my girlfriend and two kids and that life gives us the opportunity to change our backyard every day, that might seem more romantic that it sometimes is (we spend a lot of nights right next to the highway). But whenever we get the to follow a local to one of his favourite spots, I jump at the opportunity and this has almost never failed me.
Yesterday we came across a Belgian guy who lives in Tromso and he told us about a ski tour he was planning on doing today. We were welcome to join he said and that's all I needed to hear. The rest is history, we had such an amazing tour today: a 1100m vertical hike, views to never be forgotten and a snow powder decent. Life is good!
PS: As we speak, I am watching the Northern lights dance in the sky...
