Today, October 12, 2022 After Christ, we commemorate one of the most important events in Providential History:
The arrival of the Gospel in America.
In the midst of a pagan context, polytheism and practices such as human sacrifices to their gods and cannibalism by indigenous tribes; God's goodness was made manifest, by allowing us to know him, through Catholic missionary monks in the Discovery of America.
They taught the Christian faith, reading, writing and new ways of living together.
They showed love for the indigenous people, defended their rights and managed to get the Catholic Monarchs to protect them from slavery.
Today we commemorate this event, giving thanks to God for the freedom that he provided for the American continent through the knowledge of the Truth that makes us free.
