Daybook December 5

Change often appears as disruption, but it is actually an opening.
Every shift—whether expected or not—invites us to grow, to discover, and to see ourselves differently.
Today’s Daybook reminds us that change is not a setback but a doorway into who we are becoming.

Change is more than disruption.
It is an opportunity—
an opportunity to grow,
to discover,
to take a risk,
to thrive,
and to make a difference in someone’s life.

In nursing, change arrives often and without warning—
a new unit, a new role, a new team, a new kind of patient.
It can feel uncomfortable, or even threatening,
but every transformation carries us
to the next version of who we are becoming.

Change is not a threat.
Change is the beginning.

One Line for Nurses and Nursing Students Today:
Every change you face holds a small doorway into who you are becoming.
