Abundance Year Episode 1922
Noxsoma Life Camp:
The Last Addiction
Omnipotence
Three Day Torture
We always knew that this would have to be addressed sometime.

The late, great Rodney Dangerfield, the comedian that built his career on getting no respect, would start his act with, “I’m alright now, but last week I was in rough shape,” dot-dot-dot. As I peck out today’s testimonial, I would echo Rodney’s opening lines.
“I’m alright now. But last week I was in rough shape.”
The Collective conspired to do something beneficial for the vessel that we had been putting off for literally, decades. Kicking the sugar addiction.
You will get a good deal of the details in today’s episode. At this point, I think that we are a week or two out of the woods. The decision to do this feels like it was a whim. It was probably the last straw for Universe. We have had a bunch of challenges to the vessel this year. This “One” year, numerologically speaking. Good place to start.
Anyway, Universe was like, “You got to quit the sugar, dude.” This is not a metaphor for anything harder. Sugar is hard enough. It’s basically been life long. So at 10 PM one night, I don’t even remember which, (although I have it written down), I had my last cuppa tea, with a heaping tablespoon of sugar.
We have a good idea how the body works, so we gave it three days. Ever wonder why there are so many threes in fairy tales. Three days for the gut-lining to regenerate. That’s my answer, and I’m sticking to it. After a half-century of a regular sugar fix, and more recently five years of multiple cups of tea daily, with tablespoons of sugar, the system had gotten used to a few things. When those things were cut off, cold-turkey, it acted some-kinda-way. And the head paid.
It was a double-whammy. No sugar. And, no caffeine? This is Not happening.
The first 24 hours went deceptively smoothly. The next 24, was O M freekin’ G!
Universe, in my voice, kept sayin’, “You chose this. You did this to yourself.”
Yeah, I know. We are a tiny bit more impervious to pain than we were in younger days. We kept looking ahead to the benefits. We knew there would be bennies. And we had an idea what they would be too. But it’s not just three days of torture, reset the system and jump right back into the old ways. No no no. Ain’t gonna do it.
While we were suffering we knew two truths awaited us on the other side. First we were addicted and we were not going to stop drinking tea. We are not here to “quit.” We are here to “manage.” This is where our self-discipline rises to the challenge.
On day four we were good. No headaches. No physical cravings. They were more mental. Patterns. Like the way one might automatically grab the kettle, fill it up, and heat it on the stove. I would brew a cup every time I returned to the Sanctuary Oasis from someplace. Automatically. Thoughtlessly. Out of habit. Maybe I didn’t even want a cuppa tea.
Through the torturous third day which was a surprise, bordering on shock, Mind decided that we needed a buffer. It wasn’t going to be three and out. We decided to do three more. Another round of gut regeneration without caffeine or sugar. That went smoothly.
We came up with an alternative. Clove & ginger-infused H2O, lemon, cayenne (red) pepper & honey, mixed with boiling water. That kept us company those four extra days. I added one more because I’m a “Seven guy.” Make it a full week.
The next challenge was that we were going to have to figure out a way, not go get back into that cycle, without completely quitting. Tea with sugar is not like heroine. Not for yours truly anyway. There is going to be one cuppa tea daily. In the AM. One teaspoon of sugar. And that’s all she wrote. At the time of this writing, we have stuck to that guideline.
Providentially, the moon was in Pisces when we started this epic, so we figure the next time the moon is in Pisces, (beginning April 13th), we will do another three days without this killer combo, just to measure how the vessel reacts.
We are figuring that metabolism can make a lot of repairs and corrections without the load of 4 tablespoons of sugar to deal with daily. We anticipate positive results. Whatever clears up, (there have been a few things already), was probably due in some way, shape or form, to an over-abundance of sugar in the system.
We expect that this will become a recurring topic of the show this year.
