What should a simplified project proposal contain?

crta.png

You'll first you need a beneficial idea. It needs to provide a solution to a certain problem or fulfil a desire of the consumers. Therefore the project must be useful. We are witnessing so many completely useless projects that are only started to give an illusion of something being undertaken and get funding only to lead nowhere. We do not want to have anything to do with these. Thankfully there are also many of them which deserve all the attention they are getting. We are not talking about steem projects but cryptosphere in general.

When you have an idea, you also need a financial plan. Meaning that you need to figure out how will your project bring money to all included parties. If there is no return on investment, you do not have a business project, but rather a charity project or are looking for an easy handout. That kind of 'project' is likely to benefit only the 'entrepreneur' who started it.

The third pillar would be a roadmap. You need to write down all stages of the developement of your project so your investors can follow your progress. This will also add weight to your business profile.

So, we hope to have explained in really brief outline all what you need to successfully propose a project to your investors. Hope you find it of good use.

Members of the ADSactly society will gladly take a look into your project, help you develop it, work with you on it and maybe even support your idea if you clearly present those three things in writing.

Nice and succinct post and I can get through all of it for once :)

The title 'project proposal' however I classify 'project' under 'business' and investors only look at 'business proposals'. As the first thing in making a proposal then, I want to add this as something a lot of these projects think they can just cook up the idea and sell to investors are wrong - They need to establish credibility first.

So, top of the list should be: Establish credibility with an investor by briefly explaining who is in your team, and what they have produced to date, and why you should be considered for an investment in this area.

Too many ICO indeed are just coming with ponzi-baked promises and no track record of delivered business and projects to speak of. If they haven't first proven they gave it all and put all into it, they should not be considered.

Our latest discussion has been about a fantasy football league. @full-measure has been discussing it on his blog and I have decided to go for a initial buy-in. This buy-in money is pooled together for the winner of the championship (none of it is for running the game or for the person who started it). The prizes are like 1st, 2nd and 3rd with the competition taking place in head to head scoring format.

This could also be done on separate website with payments and transactions running on the steem blockchain. Account integration could be through steem connect and so on.

Obviously this is all just an idea a and I am not putting it pt there to be funded. I am just mention it as a source of inspiration to others and let them know that people are thinking about great many projects here and if they have any good ideas, they should not hesitate to come forward.

If there is no return on investment, you do not have a business project,...

That’s true! But its also true if only one out of thousand ideas works, it’s definitely worth trying all 1001. Motivation is as well very important. If your motivation is (as you mentioned) just to look for an easy handout, it’s wrong. If your motivation is “believe” in your project being successful and profitable, that’s completely diferent story. I say go for it. People with the right motivation can reach anything, even a miracle. I wish you find the right people with the right idea and motivation. I believe you are looking in the right place. Unfortunately I also noticed when Steem price goes south, people loose their motivation as well.

Thanks again @sdsactly for yet another expository content contribution!
But I need a clarification here!!
" We are not talking about steem projects but about cryptosphere in general"

Does it mean that the requirements for a good project as projected is in Exclution of projects beside crypsopheres??

Also, in most less developed climes , most projects are initiated simply to stimulate ACTIVITY instead of SERVICE DELIVERY as you noted!

ADSactly mainly functions within cryptosphere but nothing is excluded, of course. :)

Really very cool words
You are a successful investor
