I think this can be applied to most occupations, hobbies, etc.
Those who aren't always looking to improve are stagnant and therefore loosing ground to those around them.
Same can be said for businesses as well. Just look at Kodak and Blockbuster as 2 great examples.
Absolutely, i think it's also a symptom of people being distracted by so many things that are going on around them that it becomes hard to focus and claim ownership over the things that we are supposed to be doing. Appreciate the comment!
