All good things must end.

life in Tamarindo, being a very good thing...
was not exempt.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time there,

living luxuriously and soaking up the suns rays ...

yet

my future was calling.

I came to Central America to explore.

I had had enough of the tourist village ... and was ready to see the land as it truly was.

I had a contact in Nica.

Alex ran a work exchange on the Nicaraguan coast.
He was a masseuse from the UK who had gotten fed up with that world ... and decided to leave.
He had made a request to the Universe for carpenters.

I answered.

His goal was to make a healing arts center in Nica ...
a place where people could rest, a place where people could heal ...

a place that people could call home.

alas ... I was not there yet

Back in Tamarindo my life was a breeze.

Each morning I would awake from my slumber, well rested and excited about the day.
I often went to a cafe, did some word

I had just started Wyznd ... my life coaching business

After work

I went to the beach and went swimming.
Every day, no matter what, I went in the ocean.
It was healing my soul, and I needed it.

If you live on the ocean, you must swim!

I did this day in and day out for about a week.
It was not getting old ... but I knew I needed to move on. Nica was calling and my soul was getting restless ...

But!

before I left ... I had to hit the town for one more evening.

This time I was flying solo

I had heard of a nightclub right outside of town that was supposed to be the place to be on Saturday.

I started my journey ...

slightly unsure of my self.
I had yet to venture this far outside of the town

What if there were robbers!?

the allure of attractive latin women dancing drew me closer

I finally saw it ...

well really heard it

The music was blasting!!

It was like a scene out of a movie.

The night club was on a hill side and you had to climb a huge flight of stairs to get up.

Halfway up stood 3 big guys ...

checking ID's nad making sure no one had any weapons
it was really the latter

The nightclub was fascinating ...

the structure itself looked almost like a bomb shelter ...
all concrete with cracks and crags in all of the right places ...

yet their was a modernity to it .

it was alive

The space pulsed with energy

I got there early ... and it was already packed!!

Tons of people, young and old came to dance the night away.

and could they dance!!

They had two dance floors

One for salsa, one for a more modern crowd.

I made my way between the stages ... I did not have the energy to keep up with the locals
nor the skills

but I was so impressed by their talent, by their poise, by the atmosphere they had created.

These were people that worked for pennies on the dollar ... serving the foreign tourists that came to their town ...
yet here they were royalty!!

The fact that their bank accounts had one fewer zero (or more!) meant nothing to them ...

The tourists were here on vacation ...

these people were here for life.

This kid thinks he knows something (1).jpg
