Fishing on the Chattahoochee part 2
Around noon the fog was clearing off the river, and we walked to the next fishing spot.
We found otter tracks all around the area but did not see any actual otters.
I cast off with my yum bait, I did not have any luck with it at my previous spot but figured I should try again.
We saw a man across the river in overalls working with some water pump on the river. Not sure exactly what he was doing.
@ryulincoln found a worm and used it as bait, but about 10 minutes later a fish stole the bait without taking the hook. I did not have any better luck, nothing interested in my bait. I am now thinking its due to it being old, I bought it years ago. Left it unopened but I think whatever attractants were in it expired.
We packed up and headed back to the car, through the woods.
I came across wild Daises in bloom, bugs were eating them up.
There was an old collapsed foot bridge in a ditch.
Many trails on the way back.
We did come across a snake, was just relaxing under some bark.

Beautiful. Maybe bring some worms next time! I think the guy may have been dredging for gold!?
Ah ive tried hooking worms and it I have trouble doing it. I need to practice more and not feel bad for the worms :-/
Yeah you may be right, we were thinking that too. Ive seen people looking for gold on the rivers.
Lit adventure. (:
The man was probably a mass murderer, at least it reminds me of horror movies haha - a lonely man in the woods at a river. Probably "stored" some dead bodies in this river. :P
Snaky snake, just chilling.
@gandalfthewhite
Hah I got that feeling too, he had that Deliverance vibe to him. BTW that movie was filmed about 30 minutes north of where we were in the 1970s.
Yup, till @ryulincoln found its hiding place.
Lol, true. Sick cannot be a coincidence, can it? :P
Haha, apparently.
Sounds like a nice day out.
@andyfishman
It sure was, got up to maybe 80F but under the trees and on the river you would never know.
80 degrees is still jacket weather lol. Great hiking weather.
what the name of the snake seems very vicious must be venomous.every day of adventure would be nice. Thanks
@kurza233
I think its a brown snake, did not know they are venomous. Hah but yeah was a adventurous day.
Lots of nice scenery there, too bad ya guys didn't catch anything though. Still looks like it was a great day. :)
@leemlaframboise
Thanks! I love the scenery too, Its a rainforest in America. Yeah but in @ryulincolns defense we did not find his deep fishing hole he was trying to show me. So maybe we will find a better spot next time, but none the less the adventure that day was worth not catching anything.
Some of awsome nature photo...........
Great job.....
thanks much, appreciate you thinking I did a good job.
