Are above things correlated in a way, that made a bandwagon we ride on? Some says we are heading to the moon but I am not sure.

Would we have a cryptocurrency/altcoins surge wihout social media perpetual present in our daily life? Can we separate cryptocurrency phenomenon from our dependence on mechanisms of attention economy? Steemers, help me to understand and clarify.
