I don't actually know how much of a tradition it is here because I never see them, but unfortunately I don't hit the beach as often as I'd like to so maybe I just miss them XD I just thought it would be an amusing contrasting thing to do seeing as there's a lot of emphasis on the white Christmas ;D

Your "warm" weather probably feels lovely after snow temperatures but still way too cold for me! Not that that's saying much as anything under 20C (68F) is too cold for me XD

Do you build snow sculptures when there's snow? :D

I do when we get it but we usually don't have it around long enough to sculpt much. My IDEAL winter temp is in Southern England (which I'm not there this year, but hopefully next) as it's like 50'sF and sometimes overcast and that English rain that seems like magic compared to the heavy torrential New England rain we get. I often curse my English ancestors for leaving my 'homeland' back in the 1500's, idiots!

I hope your New Year is good with SOME beach time! Stay warm ;)
