Any attempt to generalize can lead to harmful stereotypes. Instead, African masculinity is shaped by a complex mix of deeply rooted cultural traditions and the challenges of the modern era.

For example, A man's identity is often connected to his role as a responsible provider and protector for his family, including his extended family.

African men demonstrate resilience and a strong drive to succeed, often in the face of significant economic and societal challenges. This perseverance is a source of pride and a core part of our self-perception.

Some African men face poverty and abandonment in their old age after having spent their resources on their families.

This is often tied to shifting family structures and economic realities. As an example, children usually takes care of their mother rather than their fathers, this is a cruel fact globally among the African folks.

So the next time you meet an African Man, say Hi'.
