Doubles in terms of what? We know that BTC has a coded maximum number of units (21m) and we are at 16m+ now - so numerically it cannot double. Whereas if you are talking about value it cannot be measured against itself then what is the base - USD, Gold, Water? Value is in the eyes of the beholder - maybe Gold for an Indian but Water for a desert dweller.
