What is the definition of AI? What can AI do and do you understand its classification?

The essence of AI is voting.
AI technology can mimic human work but is not human. Take ChatGPT as an example, it is a typical artificial intelligence.
ChatGPT can communicate with you by imitating humans and using existing knowledge, which is mostly correct. It's amazing, right? The principle behind this is simple - it's based on voting. Just like when you make a decision, you choose from several options, AI also makes decisions by voting. People also vote when making decisions, based on gain, loss, or other considerations. Similarly, AI votes for all potential answers and selects the one with the most votes. Like humans, even the most experienced player can make the wrong choice, which is why AI can also make mistakes.
If we aim to gain a better understanding of AI or effectively utilize AI to aid our work and learning, it's crucial to comprehend the most widely used Large Language Model (LLM) available today. This includes user-friendly AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Smallppt, among others.

It is important to keep up with artificial intelligence in order to stay competitive. A person who is proficient in Large Language Models (LLM) may have several times or even dozens of times higher work efficiency than a person who is not. In addition, someone who has mastered LLM can work as a one-person team and accomplish tasks that previously required multiple individuals. Even for non-professional jobs, everyone can find ways to incorporate machine learning or artificial intelligence to assist in their work or studies. This is where the true value of large models lies. They can amplify your abilities and help you achieve your goals, even if you are not proficient in coding.
To put it more professionally, the full name of AI is Artificial Intelligence, artificial intelligence + intelligence, which together are artificial intelligence. Its purpose is to imitate human intelligence and enable computers to achieve tasks that are difficult for humans to complete, such as automatic learning, automatic reasoning and automatic problem solving.
The fundamental purpose of AI technology is to enable computers to simulate human intelligence, including the ability to learn, reason, and solve problems. AI is based on various technical principles, including machine learning, which involves using algorithms to allow computers to learn from data, and natural language processing (NLP), which enables computers to comprehend and generate human language. Other essential principles include computer vision, which empowers computers to interpret visual data, and decision-making algorithms, which allow computers to make decisions based on available information.
To put it bluntly, artificial intelligence is designed to imitate humans, such as seeing, listening, speaking, reading, writing, etc.
The current stage of artificial intelligence is at its most elementary stage, and the degree of intelligence depends largely on data. That is, there is as much intelligence as there are artificial intelligence. The ultimate goal is AGI, Artificial general intelligence, which is strong artificial intelligence.

Definition:

Strong artificial intelligence is the concept of a machine with general intelligence that imitates human intelligence or behavior and has the ability to learn and apply its intelligence to solve any problem. In any given situation, strong artificial intelligence can think, understand and act in the same way as humans. The biggest difference between strong artificial intelligence and weak artificial intelligence is whether it has consciousness.
The AI currently implemented is actually the lowest level of AI, that is, weak AI. AI is divided into three categories. 1.Artificial narrow intelligence (ANI), weak artificial intelligence, no consciousness
2.Artificial general intelligence (AGI), strong artificial intelligence, with primary consciousness
3.Artificial superintelligence (ASI), super artificial intelligence, whose consciousness is equal to or exceeds that of human beings

1.Artificial narrow intelligence

ANI is a type of artificial intelligence that has been successfully implemented so far. ANI is designed to perform a single task such as facial recognition, speech recognition, driving a car, or internet search. It is goal-oriented, highly efficient, and smart at accomplishing the specific task it was programmed to do. However, ANI operates under certain limitations and constraints, and it is not capable of replicating or imitating human intelligence. It can only simulate human behavior based on predefined parameters and context.

2.Artificial superintelligence

Artificial superintelligence (ASI) is a theoretical type of AI that surpasses human intelligence and capabilities. Unlike regular AI, ASI is self-aware and has the ability to understand and replicate human behavior and intelligence. In theory, ASI will be better than humans in everything we do, including mathematics, science, art, sports, medicine, relationships, and hobbies. ASI has a larger memory capacity and faster data processing and analysis abilities, which makes its decision-making and problem-solving skills far superior to those of humans.

Summarize:

Artificial intelligence (AI) can be classified into three categories: Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI), Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI). Currently, we have only achieved the ANI level of AI, and we have not yet reached the higher stages of AGI and ASI. However, it is evident that we are currently living in the era of artificial intelligence, and as AI technology continues to develop, and basic theory continues to progress, the outline for AGI and even ASI will become clearer in the near future.
