The respect for ancestors and family were so deep that they were buried under the floor of the family house when they died. They believed their spirits remained with them and protects the family.

They believed health is wealth. If the people in the community are not well it means the Te community is sick as well.

They have discovered many herbs from plants a long while ago before the advent of science and technologies.

Their tradition are still In existence till today but in modernised way.

Out of the plants they used has drug to cure illness is 'ewe Dongoyaro'(Azaadiracta indica).

Azaadiracta indica is a plant known to be native to India and it subcontinent. It is known to belong to Maliacea family .

Indian called it naeem plant. It is found in Nigeria, My tribe called 'ewe dongoyaro' or 'ewe oba'.

The products of the plant either synthetically or naturally is very important in preventing diseases and very good for treatment.

It enhance activities of antioxidant, inhibit growth of bacterial and adjust genetic pathways.

Many research are still being carried out on it to know more about it's therapeutic roles in managing diseases. This is because it has less side effect and not costly.

Have the believe that many pharmaceutical drug are being produced from herbs, plants, and even natural resources.

This plant has been used in treating many metabolic and cancerous disease.

Azadirachta indica has various complex constituents including nimbin, nimbidin, nimbolide, and limonoids and such types of ingredients play role in diseases management through modulation of various genetic pathways and other activities.)

The plant of Azaadirachta indica have antimicrobial role, by it's effect of inhibition on microbial growth of cell wall breakdown.

azadiracta indica contains azadirachtin,

which is a complex tetranortriterpenoid limonoid present in seeds. Azadirachtin is responsible for both toxic effects in insects and even antifeeder. )

It is used as insecticide.
In production of various cosmetics like body cream, body lotion, shampoo, toothpaste etcetera.It can cure wound, rashes, dandruff, eczema. etcetera

It can also detoxify our body and help in blood purification.

Hence it has anti-fungal and anti-bacteria property.And are known to be Jack of all trade

Some people prefer taking the herb raw. It is effective in treating malaria. But many have abuse the usage simply because the dosage can not be easily predicted by them.

But my tradition is so intelligent that during their time, they know what dosage to take that will not affect them.

To avoid this, the synthetic one is recommended.
