Expectant Mother : The Outcome Of The Prenancy Is What Matters

in #air-clinic6 years ago (edited)

It baffles me each time I see women playing with their lives and that of their unborn child simply because they believe a particular method of delivery is normal while the other is not, and even a sign of weakness.

Many women believe in having their deliveries vaginally and insist on that even when there is contra -indication for that. They choose to play gambles with their lives and unborn babies after suffering for nine months carrying a pregnancy. You see them saying my mother gave birth vaginally, so why will I not?; caesarian section is not in my family; I'm serving a living God, so I'm going to deliver like a Hebrew woman.

Many women have Lost their lives because they insisted on Vaginal delivery, sad they could only which they had a second chance to make a better decisions. Some have given birth to children that will eventually grow into morons or imbecile because the baby has sustained some brain damage from excessive stress, that will be obvious as the baby grow.

I wish every woman that desires to give birth vaginally to have it done that way. But please, without looking at how your friends delivered, how your mother and her entire generation delivered, what your pastor prophesized, or how the other women married in your family delivered ; if you have any of these, do consider caesarian section.

When placenta comes before your baby:

Don't try Vaginal delivery. You can bleed to death even before your baby is born.

when your placenta is separated:

If for any reason you have your placenta separated from your womb and your baby is still alive, don't waist that baby by trying Vaginal delivery. The baby can die anytime and as such needs to be brought out through the fastest means.

when your baby is two big:

Ideal weight of babies favorable for Vaginal delivery is less than 4.5kg. If your labour fails to progress because your baby is big (especially in small women) please do consider caesarian section. Don't wait until the baby suffers severe distress.

When your baby is suffocating:

You will have your midwife and doctor coming intermittently to check you and your baby. If the baby's heart starts beating too fast, or worse still too slow persistently, it's a sign that your baby is suffocating already. You need to consider sectioning.

Your pelvis is not big enough

Your doctor has assessed you and said your waist (pelvis) is not big enough but you still want to try Vaginal delivery, that is still fine. But please once there are signs that baby's head is being compressed or doesn't have enough space to come down, please consider sectioning.

When you are exhausted

Labour is not an easy journey. It's natural to feel tired of the whole pain and wish it's over. But when you see your entire being yielding, u find it difficult to talk, you are extremely weak and barely can carry yourself. My sister! That's another level. You are obviously exhausted. You need to go for sectioning because getting the baby out requires pushing down/effort.

When you have other medical problems

Your doctor might advise you go for sectioning because of medical problems that might affect your baby if you have Vaginal delivery. You may also have cardiac disease, renal disease, severe pre-eclampsia, etc that wouldn't be healthy for you you and your baby. Stick to your doctor advice.

The aim of every expectant mother should be to be healthy and carry a healthy baby at the end of the nine months, irrespective of how the baby was delivered.

Thank you much @stach.

The outcome of pregnancy would always be a perfect birth if women were only educated correctly about how to be pregnant. I am not a woman but have learned much about this subject by researching it before helping my partner give birth twice.

We practiced a system called hypno birthing which was a daily mediation (throughout the pregnancy) and both children were born fast and without pain killers or problems. The second baby came in 15mins ;)

The preparation for giving birth begins in the early pregnancy period! Not when the contractions start ;)

This way the birth will be a natural one.

Most women do desire giving birth the natural way. Some are lucky to go through the process faster than others. Our emphasis here is those with factors/problems that doesn't favour birth through the natural way, yet refuse going for the alternative to the detriment of their lives and babies.

I would really love to learn more about this "hypno birthing " @samstonehill

With all due respect I don't think it is to do with luck. We are in control of every aspect of our physical experience here... including how we give birth.

I think you will enjoy learning about hypno birthing. It may even completely change your life as it has done for my partner ;)

I was really expecting you to tell me more about it. Sure, I'm open to learning.

Great you are open to learn :)

I think it is better if a person feels their way into it themselves. There are many different techniques but it is basically about avoiding negativity (like articles about all the things which can go wrong with pregnancy), daily meditations & affirmations, and using 'trigger' music to get into a relaxed state.

This lady makes a lot of sense.
