in All In One4 days ago

Today i am going to join,SC-S30 | CineAtlas 60 Week 5 - Movement Scene. Thanks to @kouba01 for this contest. So friends, without further ado, let's get straight to the main point.

The place that I am going to share with you is a petrol pump. There is a huge crowd around it. And it is located between the petrol pump on Chaumuhani Road from Zero Point in our Daganbhuiyan Bazar. I am going to share that place with you.

What is moving in your film

In the film that is moving within my camera frame, there are many cars coming and going. Also, some people can be seen moving there. Especially people walking on the road and various vehicles coming and going on this and that side of the road.

Why you chose this location

One of the main reasons for choosing this location is that everyone is waiting in line for oil and some people are leaving after seeing the line. Because many people will not have time to stand in such a long line to get oil and it will be seen that it is doubtful whether they will get oil in the end. That is why many people come here and leave again after coming back. And the condition of the people waiting eagerly for them can be seen here in this frame.

What kind of cinematic feeling you wanted to create

Actually I tried to create some activities of daily life. Where I tried to highlight the current situation of oil crisis in Bangladesh. So I shared this scene here to highlight how much people are suffering and how much suffering they are facing because of oil. And I hope that everyone will understand what is going to happen and what is happening here by watching the video.

How movement helps tell your story or emotion

In particular, a person who came to get oil, he left his work with great interest to get oil. But when he saw that there was a very long line, he backed out of there and went back. And I will tell you how I can guess this. I myself went there for oil, but the amount of crowd I saw.

If I had to get oil in this crowd, I would have to spend at least two to two and a half hours there, which is not possible for me. Because I left my office open and went there for oil. That person might be like that too. He backed out because he had less time. Which I think is a really great scene for this film.

Anyway, I have done both photography and videography and I will share both with you. I will upload one video on speam.wach and another on YouTube and share the link.

    Evaluation Summary (Week 5)

    Criteria (Rubric /10)ScoreShort Comments
    1) Weekly rule respected (Movement Scene + 20–60 sec + required links) / 32.8 / 3.0All main required elements are present. The moving vehicles, people, and petrol pump activity clearly make movement central to the scene.
    2) Story clarity & creativity / 21.8 / 2.0The concept is clear and meaningful. Using the fuel crisis as the emotional core gives the entry a strong real-life story.
    3) Video execution (framing, stability, focus, visual impact) / 21.6 / 2.0The road activity and queue create strong motion and realism. Minor deduction because the video seems more observational, with limited shot variety.
    4) SteemAtlas pin quality (relevant description + correct location) / 11.0 / 1.0The pin is present with coordinates, plus code, and map details, and the location fits the story well.
    5) Presentation (photos, clean structure) / 10.9 / 1.0The post is organized, easy to follow, and supported with relevant photos.
    6) Engagement (Shot Breakdown comments on others) / 10.9 / 1.0Four comment links are included, exceeding the minimum requirement.

    Final Score: 9.0 / 10

    General Comment

A strong and meaningful Week 5 entry. The busy petrol pump scene creates clear movement, and the fuel crisis adds a real social story that gives the video more depth than a simple road scene. The concept is effective and well presented, though the film would feel even stronger with a more cinematic shot variety.

Your video shows the ongoing oil crisis in our country; the long lines of bikes waiting in front of the petrol pump reflect the exact situation we are facing in our area as well.

At the 0:05 second, an auto-rickshaw running by at high speed. We jokingly call them 'Teslas' because of how fast they go. I also noticed someone in blue at the 0:08 second, standing on the road island and filming the scene at the pump.

You captured most of the moments using zoom and only zoomed out toward the end. I think the entire scenario would have been even more impactful if you had taken a few more shots with a normal lens. Wishing you the very best for your entry.

0.07 second hits me differently. Why? Because it focused on the motorcyclists waiting on a long queue. Your camera was the one moving and at a point, it made me roll my eyes to the direction of the subject in view. You did great by capturing this frustrating moment under a mild sun. Your video is good.
