Most altcoins are down because of people exiting their positions to get out of Bitcoin and into fiat expecting a dump. Whales are also holding prices down because, well, it doesn't matter if you sell low as long as you buy back lower ;) They are patient and will shake out ALL weak hands before the trend changes direction.
