29 Behind-The-Scenes Fun Facts from 'The Office'
The Office: great show or greatest show?
Honestly, I still can't decide. What I do know is that it's one of my all-time favorites and it deserves a place in the Television Hall of Fame for eternity.
In fact, it might be time for another rewatch.
But before I disappear into Netflix, I wanted to share some amazing behind-the-scenes facts that even the most die-hard fan of the show may not have known.
Here you go!
Right after John Krasinski found out he had been cast as Jim, his first question to the casting director was: “Did Jenna [Fischer] get the part?”
When Jenna Fischer got the news that she’d been cast as Pam, she immediately asked whether Krasinski had been cast as Jim.
Say it with me now: Awwwwwww!
The computers on set were hooked up to the Internet.
The cast has said that between takes, they’d spend time surfing the Internet, checking their email, or even paying bills.
Jim and Ryan go way back.
B.J. Novak and John Krasinski went to the same high school and graduated in the same year (1997).
They were also on the same little league baseball team!
Can you imagine him playing any other character?
Rainn Wilson originally auditioned for the role of Michael Scott — not Dwight K. Schrute. (I think they made the right call.)
Next up: an interesting fact about Jim’s hair.
