Do you use AMP for Wordpress?

in #amp6 years ago

Today the usage and popularity of mobile devices are increasing at an exponential rate. Most of the people are on the go and they do not have time to sit back at a desktop computer at home to get their online work done. So in my Wordpress blog, I have seen a more than 50% of traffic generation from mobile devices. In such a scenario it is very important that your blog is optimized for mobile devices.

Normal HTML pages on Wordpress are designed for Desktop computers and their Internet browsers. However, mobile device users have special requirements of a webpage when it comes to size, scalability, page size and load time. So all the pages on your blog should be optimized for mobile devices.

There are plenty of options to get this done. Personally, I use AMPforWP plugin due to ease of use. AMP stands for Accelerated Mobile Pages which is an Internet standard now. WP is Wordpress.

They not only give you the plugin but also provide you access to a bunch of themes and tools to make your website more mobile-friendly.

I would love to know your suggestions as well.
