Hello Steemit
Hello all!
I am a full-time college student, who keeps busy in my three part-time jobs. As such, my posting may not be as frequent as I would prefer, but I promise to always be providing the best possible content. I am a Christian Existentialist Anarcho-Capitalist with the prevailing theme through all being a passionate love for freedom, Individualism, and personal autonomy. I am relatively new to the social media and blogging universe, but am super excited about getting started. And I hope to engage this community and through doing so, learn from it and contribute to it in a positive manner. It is my intention to primarily use this platform to further expand my knowledge and appreciation of Anarcho-Capitalism,as I have heard that the user base of this site largely holds to those convictions. But first I should provide a little information about my political history and journey.
As a child, I was raised as neocon Republican in a typical Christian conservative household, but I was largely apathetic to politics. That was until I first discovered my passion for online political debate in a small politically-minded subset of a comedy app in early 2015. It was there that I was first introduced to and adopted libertarianism through the imperfect example of Rand Paul, whom I believed to be the only hope for the GOP. I supported him until suspended his Presidential campaign, at which point I lost all respect for the Republican Party and abandoned it entirely.
Shortly thereafter, I started listening to Libertarian podcasts (of which I am a huge fan), as well as supporting Austin Petersen in his Presidential aspirations. During this time, I delved further into Libertarian thought, reading Rothbard's "For a New Liberty: A Libertarian Manifesto", and Lysander Spooner's "No Treason: The Constitution of No Authority". Through these books, podcasts, and my engagement with other libertarians, I rapidly progressed down the road of libertarianism to supporting a Voluntary Miniarchist State. However, I was reluctant to fully embrace the concept of Anarcho-Capitalism.
In the summer of 2016, I slowly became logically consistent and shed the last of my statist beliefs and accepted the wonder, which is Anarcho-Capitalism. Through this transition, I shifted my political support to the more libertarian Presidential candidates, Darryl W. Perry, John McAfee, and Marc Feldman. After none of them received the Libertarian Party's nomination and the title was granted to instead to Gary Johnson and his Vice Presidential candidate, Bill Weld (both whom I find it difficult to accept as libertarians), I effectively gave up on the political process and shifted my support of libertarianism to more of a philosophical engagement of others.
And it is at this point at which I currently reside, hoping to lead others to liberty through direct involvement and personal communication. If you would like to contact me, I am able to be reached on the Kik app under the username, "St1_Crusher". I am greatly looking forward to interacting with this community and I hope we can use this platform to edify each other and strengthen our arguments for a peaceful Anarchist society.
Peace to All,
