08-01-18 Update. Scrubbing My Steem Account And Other Stuff.
I have to admit, I might enjoy writing these updates as much as I do writing the essays and posts that this thing is really about. It's just a good time in the space and I'm stoked to be able to be a part of it. I enjoy everything about what I'm working on accomplishing. I'm at a place where my technical skills, writing skills, and creative skills are really coming together. Don't get me wrong, I don't think I'm some DeVinci or anything, but I'm competent and experienced enough to enjoy this and know how to continue to improve.
It's great to have a platform where there are talented people everywhere that challenge me to improve. Not only talented but people who seem genuinely concerned about other people's success.
Migration finally done.
Anyway, with the migration finally pretty much behind me, its time to start putting the content back up, but in a new way. I am going back through all of my Steemit articles and putting them where they belong on this site. The value of that is the navigation and other nifty features available on Wordpress that allow me to present the content the way I want to. As I put them over here they will be put back in the rotation for more improvement. I want to better source them for one thing and just put an overall better quality effort into everything. The thing about the web is that everything can be a liquid work - constantly updating and improving.
That is exactly what this so-called index is all about - improving and updating.
Wordpress is some real badassery - especially today. I've been involved with Wordpress for a long time. Less so lately, but for a while, I was building sites for clients and trying to push the limits of Wordpress for them. What this platform can do today is just amazing. I can build a site in minutes practically, that would have taken me a month to code. Let's just say, I'm impressed.
Putting the best of Wordpress, LBRY and the Steem platform together with diligence is my goal. I am always looking for more tools and these seem to be everything I need as far as media platforms available right now.
Time for a lot of work.
There is so much going on in this space right now. It seems like an explosion and nothing of consequence is standing the way of open and decentralized technology and the principles of voluntary interaction.
I have a plan to write two to three content articles per day and probably one update like this. I will publish one article per day for a couple of weeks and a few updates per week. Over time, this will create a bit of "content savings" so to speak so I can then work on some other projects or just some time off. I have figured that I can handle this much pretty successfully.
Even though I have been working on this project for a long time, I feel like this is the actual beginning. I really look forward to it.
