Contrary to what the Enemedia wants you to believe, Anarchy is first and formost about NO RULERS.
What that means (in this case) is that an anarchist is not going to depend on government to prevent bad things from happening or fix them when (not if) they do.
An anarchist stands up on his own two hind legs and gets the job done himself.

I find this video to be very educational
My take away from this video is that I'm going to layer the inside of my houseboat with aluminium foil. I'm going to glue it to the fiberglass on the inside then put the insulation and inside walls on after. I intend to make EXTENSIVE use of EMF Shielding Paint as well as the standard copper anti fouling hull protection
Regarding Solar Panels....I find this to be somewhat encouraging

Solar panels (at least of the polycrystalline and monocrystalline silicon type) have proven to be quite resistant to nuclear EMP, in spite of the fact that the solar panels are just semiconductors that are open to the sky. Total EMP protection of a solar panel power system is possible, though, and need not be terribly expensive.

Except where I am, we are so dependant on imports that...it would be very hard to support the populations on these Islands.
Cuba would probably do fine. They have not much, and so would not have much to lose.
I would sail for the top of the Gulf of Mexico, and take my chances in a rural area somewhere in the southeast US.
With all of those politicians gone it should be paradise, even without electricity.

Well understanding that we have the threat of the electromagnetic pulse attack, either from the Sun or through an EMP bomb created by man; it certainly seems that every human being should make his own decisions of protection without taking the government into account, because normally there is absence of government for these things; then, we must become anarchists. It is a hard concept, but there are already countries where practically anarchy is installed in certain sectors, where it do what they want in some particular activities different from the EMP; basically economic manipulations, where a few benefit and harm the majority.
I'm ok on the anarchist front - been living all my life pretty much like that.
(and an upbringing on a farm gives you a foundation I never knew I had)

I've been reading/thinking about Emps.
Electro-magnetic PULSE.
A coronal mass ejection (solar storm) won't create a PULSE...
during a solar storm the problem will be the long lines....if you've read about the 'carrington event'...the telegraph lines were picking up so much electricity from the solar storm that the telegraph operators were being shocked.
The problem today will be the electrical grid...or any thing that has LONG wires.
An EMP is different...it only last for a micro-second.
I made the foil insulated personal wallets after I heard that cash can be easily stolen from those 'air waving' credit and debit cards, or some can scan whatever card you have on you with a petite device...

Nuclear EMP can also known as Transient Electromagentics disturbances right.. That means Anarchist should profer solutions to the problem in society
Till a magnetic reversal will happen i think it is very possible that we can go back to the stone age because of the AI.... and sooner or later it will happen!
I am for self reliance and with luck, reliance on ones family and friends. I would also love to have a spectrum analyzer like the one in the video, an impressive measuring device. Now I need to go wrap everything in aluminum foil.
