I clipped a baby bunny's ear with my mower 2 years ago. Same bunny spotted today.

The little bunny was accidentally cut on the ear two years ago while I was mowing the lawn. I felt sorry and worried about its safety at that point. Hence did everything possible to improve the situation and hoped for better outcomes later. This morning just running my errands for work duty, I saw a bunny that seemed familiar strangely. On a closer look, I noticed it was that rabbit to which I had mistakenly disfigured its ear around twenty four months ago. But there was nothing wrong about it although it had once happened.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with wildlife or animals bouncing back from an accident?
