This is "Rusty" and he belongs to my in-laws. I get to visit him occasionally and he really is a "Good Boy" and he's pretty handsome too!!

You don't see them often anymore. Back when I was young there were lots of collies everywhere, probably because of "Lassie". Later, Shelties (miniature collies) were common. Love learning about all the different breeds of dogs!

Thanks so much Nina!! I loved watching "Lassie" when I was little. My family always had a dog growing up but he was always a mix and always named "Laddie"..lol. Hope you have a happy Monday also and a beautiful week!!

Great in B&W. A handsome dog Dee. When I was young( Gawd when was that? 😆 ) my parents had a beautiful collie called Speedy. He was normally a gentle dog but extremely protective of my mother.
One summer day she was hanging clothes on the outdoor clothesline and a groundhog appeared beside her. Out of nowhere Speedy was on the scene. he latched onto that poor critter’s neck and furiously shook him. That was the end of the ground hog.

Thank you @redheadpei and for the story too! He is quite protective also and will nip at anyone he perceives as a threat and goes after critters in the yard. Lol..I kinda remember being young myself many moons ago! ;)

I love collies we had a German shepherd collie mix She was the best dog every her name was Kashmir. I miss her big time. I also had a dog growing up and we called him Laddie too Lol !
