The monkey sat comfortably on a high brick wall.

The monkey's posture makes it seem like a watchdog for the entire area, monitoring every activity from above. There's a strange glint and alertness in its eyes. A monkey perched on a wall is never still. It scratches its body with its fingers or tries to find something in the cracks in the wall. If another monkey is nearby, they mingle, picking lice from each other's hair. But the moment it hears the sound of food or plastic bags being handled, its calmness vanishes. In the blink of an eye, it changes its posture and prepares to leap. Passersby react to the monkey perched on the wall with varying reactions: Children: They become excited at the sight of it and start shouting "monkey, monkey" from a distance. Elders: They consider it a form of Lord Hanuman, folding their hands or trying to feed it chickpeas and bananas. Some people quietly walk away with their eyes down, so that the monkey does not consider them a challenge.
