Should You Watch? | Mirai Nikki
Hello steemians! Welcome to 「Should You Watch?」, a bi-daily section in where I review anime so you don't have to look for the good ones.
Today we'll be looking at Mirai Nikki, a very popular anime from recent times from animation studio Asread. Let's begin.
This anime is most-well known for its graphic violence, gore, and a certain character we'll get to later.
The story follows young Yukiteru Amano, an odd highschooler. He spends most of his time writing a personal journal on his phone, while ignoring everyone around him. Later we find out he has an imaginary friend called Deus Ex Machina that is a literal god living in yukiteru's imagination.
After that, Deus Ex Machina reveals that he actually is god and wants to choose the god for the next universe. How does he do this? By picking people to fight in a battle-royale style survival game, involving the use of special diaries. Yukiteru's journal now has the ability to tell him future events, and now he has to do everything he can to kill the others with diaries and become god.
Sounds interesting, right? Well, the series sure does have a strong start. But personally, the story after that fell flat. The characters weren't interesting. There are huge plotholes. The "shocking" revelation felt kinda lazy to me. Most of the time, I kept checking how much time was left until the episode ended.
And of course, my biggest problem with this anime is, without a doubt...
Yuno Gasai. I really don't get why the anime community even likes this character. I get that she's pretty hot, but that doesn't change the fact that she's a psycho. Later on the story she became unbearable to watch, she's just so annoying to me! Like seriously dude, there's better anime girls out there.
So, in conclusion: Should You Watch Mirai Nikki?
No. I really don't recomend this anime. It's an edgy teenager's wet dream.
The show's cliffhangers do want to make you watch more of it, but a soon the next episode starts you realize that there's better anime out there.

This is what I love about this community :) We have different opinion and opinions really matter.
So my share for this is, if you are a fan of psycho, killing and somehow yandere type of anime. You should watch this so I am tagging myself @tpkidkai the series is good for me and they made a movie Mirai Nikki Redial it made me cry on the other scenes because of sadness.
I didn't liked it too.Started interesting and was enjoyable, but after that get way into psycho territory and the enjoyable factor went into the trashcan.That is of course because I hate yanderes.
So my opinion- in short if you like yanderes this is probably the best anime for you.If not, you won't like it much and better watch something that you'll enjoy more.

I've also watched this one. I spent two days to finish the two seasons just so I could move on to the next anime. I agree, it's not something you want to watch again and again. Plus everything is so violent and Yuno is really crazy.
