Celebrating 13 Happy Years Of Marriage!

On July 21 2011 I married my best friend and now we have 2 beautiful daughters that are nearly teenagers.

Its absolutely incredible to me how fast that time went by. They say time is money but I tend to disagree with that. In time money can be made and lost and made again but when the time has passed you can NEVER get it back.

However the time I've been given to enjoy the blessing of my wife and children is priceless. This is my second marriage. My first marriage ended in disaster. At the time I thought my whole life was over and would never be in love again or be happy.

That proved to be very incorrect In fact when that door closed another door opened and it turned out much better in the long run. Always remember there is a rainbow after the hurricane. Even though it's extremely difficult to endure some painful things in life it's only to refine you build character and make you a stronger healthier human being!

My thoughts about sharing this story with you is hopefully if someone is hurting right now with something life has thrown your direction that this post brings you comfort. We all come from different countries, cultures, and races but we have far more in common then we do differences. We are stronger together than divided let's unite on our commonality and not be played like pawns in a chess game and stop fighting about little things that don't matter!

I write this post with nothing but love in my heart ❤️!

Share your stories with me in the comments! I absolutely honor the overcomers among us!

Congratulations on your wedding anniversary! It can be amazing when you find that special person for your life partner. I also married my soul mate in life and wouldn't change it for the world! I have overcome a heroin addiction and almost lost my wife and my own life during some of the darkest days of my life I'm grateful to have been given the second chance in life that many people who have struggled with that did not get unfortunately.

Wow what an inspirational recovery! I hope you continue your sobriety, I have buried many of my close childhood friends because of heroin and fetanyl.

It's sad and I have myself dealt with several addictions in my own life I've struggled with alcoholism, cocaine, and pain pills and other substances.

I've now been sober over 10 years and I cleaned up because so many people close to me had passed away and I personally didn't want my children growing up without knowing who their dad was and didn't want them growing up in that environment also being a good role model for them.

I have to admit there were several reasons I got sober I did it for myself first and my kids and wife second but I've never been happier than I am today and grateful for all I have in this life!

Stay connected and if you ever need to talk message me here and we can celebrate recovery together!! Thses are exactly the types of comments I was asking for in my original post! Keep these types of stories coming maybe we can inspire others who may be dealing with things in their own lives!

Even just reaching one is awesome so come on folks share tnose stories Im sure many others have similar experiences I'd love to hear from you!

Congratulations!!
