I find APPICS one of the most well developped and smart dApp out there. UI is great and marketing too.
The only obstacle I see right now is the situation with Steem and SMT, I'm pretty shure you'll find the best solution to make it a large adoption app, especially to find the simplest way to get in.... Best regards!
