What do you see?

in #appics5 years ago (edited)

It is easy to complain if no one notices you. Fact is most people do not invest in others. They are just here to make a fast post and leave.

On to the next site where you get paid for posting.
Some are lucky, others less lucky and do not make a cent.

The idea is to engage to other people.
That is what social media means.
Many here are willing to help you out.
They delegate SP so you can post and comment, give you tips, tell you all the tricks there are.

@wesphilbin is reaching you a hand.
So is @steem-terminal, @pifc, @marblely, @thedarkorse, @paulag, @freewritehouse and am I (@wakeupkitty).
If you are too lazy to take a chance/offer, too lazy to commit and leave comments or write 200 words do not blame others for your lack of success.
We all started here once at zero. We all invested many hours in engaging.

There is no quick way of making money here. Many who reach you a hand have a hard time themselves. They do have a private life. Be happy they help you and say "thank you" and ask yourself what you did to help others. How you payed back the community for what it gave to you.

Something to think about

Nice little post, I like your enthusiasm that comes across in your writing. Good for you. Stir up the steem pool, and the writers and curators. let's engage and curate, HF21 is here and it will make or break the mold and the souls of all or some, depending on their motivation, raison d'etre, raison d'steem. It all depends on why you are here on steemit. Is it to make art or to make money or make friends? It looks to me like a serious joke, or a humorous concern. I seriously can't take any of it seriously it's all so serious.

It all is serious and many already hit the road or left elsewhere or bet on different horses (post and leave).

The main problem is the way Steemit bin promoted and still is prompted (I saw it on Twitter during #seven77). The way to make an income by just posting something.

"The something" we see everywhere, but the comments and engagement.

I came to leave something behind for my children. I left because I did not feel welcome and I do find it hard to be here, figure out everything.
I came back because my slow connection stopped me from blogging where I usually was.
I was partly lucky I met some great people who gave me a hand. Now I see it partly as a game, a way to reach a bit more to have enough SP to post and comment. I learned a lot here and I also kill time (and pain) with it plus some addiction comes with being here 🤐

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Many will not make it here but those who want will.

Good to hear your intense experience. It is like the gamification of life, here on Steemit. I'm sorry to hear you are in pain. Sending you strength.

Thanks for the strength sent. Happy weekend 💕

From one engager to another I concur. I try to leave thoughtful comments and also make a point to reply to everyone that comments on my posts. I feel like a post is a conversation starter and I’m often disappointed when I see posts full of comments on a popular authors post and they never reciprocate. I find that quite rude but to each their own. Have a good one @wakeupkitty and we’ve come pretty far on our mobile engaging. I’m about to hit 61 and while rep is easy to manipulate with bidbots and vote sellers with high rep scores mine is all natural. Cheers, hope you’re totally recovered from your illness.

I post is a conversation. For some it might be hard to just jump in the middle of it but the great thing is here it is allowed. You are not interrupting anyone if you do so.

I too find it rude so many do not respond and to be honest it is not encouraging to keep investing in those people, keep up voting them neither.

If we, on our mobiles are able to engage, write our finger off, others must be able to do so too. I guess it pays not to do so 🤔.

Great you came that far. Powering down is not of any influence of it?

Good you are still around. Hope HF21 won't be too hard on us.

Thanks for stopping by, commenting and resteeming. I really hope the engagement will increase since that is what we need most here. Not all those empty accounts and quick posts and off to the next site.

I look forward to hearing from other writers as much as my morning tea. Thanks for your posts.

I hope/assume you will soon enough. Use some extra tags like #story #writing #freewritehouse and #life.

Also have a look @freewritehouse!

Good luck👍💕

Thanks again.

I opt to leave longer comments when the post is interesting. Maybe some are not writers but they try to post something to be able to engage in this platform. I have known so many big users who left the platform for a while to take a break since Steem is at the verge of hitting the grounds. On the other hand newbies are here because they want to learn how crypto works (Steem-Engine) and they want to be able to tell their life stories even if the upvotes are just cents, they want to be heard by others too!

Cheers!

I am here over 1.5 years and still do not know how steem-engine works.

Most people here are not writers but that is no problem to me. Social media should be for everyone and we all can learn how to write and... how to comment. It is something I had and have to learn too. In real life I am not talkative at all. I only tell stories and read.

If we all, active steemians, would comment ten new posts a day, it would be a different place and most of us would feel to be heard.

You have to build a network and that takes time and effort. It's all about sharing common interests and getting to know each other. Being social as it were.

Indeed a network is a must and it takes time. Not only if you are new and have just a few SP but also because most do not respond.

Thank you for your comment 👍💕

So so very true. Not knowingly, many of us invest a lot of time here not to make big bucks but because we love it here. Writing, drawing, sharing, anything and everything with like minded people, engaging and making new friends. And eventually, grow to be pretty alright here. For those who are here for the sole purpose of making money, and like you said, make a fast post and leave, it ain’t gonna happen.

Well said. It is good to be aware of the fact no matter what you do you have to invest in others. Time, energy, enthusiasm even money.
