We did the same! Our health foods store was about a mile away from the house growing up. I remember one time riding our bikes together to go to the store.
We had a co-op too. Everyone would grow vegetables or buy them in bulk and we'd all meet up at our house to trade and barter. It was so fun.
I live in Humboldt County andbits hard to not eat healthy local food. I love it!! Come visit somrtime
