Echoes of Three

This was a contest assignment. It all started with a simple question: how many triangles have I accidentally captured over the years? Far more than I’d thought.

I first noticed them in architecture. I enjoy traveling through towns and villages, so I take a lot of pictures of buildings — from the most modest to true works of art. Almost everywhere, a clear triangular shape shows up: in the sharp lines of walls, the sloping roofs of churches and holiday cottages. Too many to count. I’ve picked the best shots to share with you today.

The clear favorite is the Bianca Resort & Spa in the mountain town of Kolašin, Montenegro. Its distinctive look is inspired by traditional hunting lodges
