The AC Unit in Hong Kong - A Necessity, a Decoration, an Architectural Feature

Here's a big building in Hong Kong, near the hotel where I was staying in, on Nathan Road.

This is an apartment building where some of the flats belong to businesses while others are residential. A few of the floors are, in fact, being used as a Hotel, the Tohou Hotel.

Downstairs, at the street level, the OCBC Wing Hang bank bought off a few businesses and settled on of their agencies there.

The exterior of the building, as always happens in Hong Kong was filled with AC units, leaving it with a completely new aspect. You can hardly see the building appearance, with so many AC units decorating it. What a craziness! 😲

People in this city cannot really survive without AC units, so these are now decorating nearly every building in the city. One can say they have become both decorations and architectural features. 🤭
