Budapest: Museum of Applied Arts
While in Budapest, we visited an amazing and unique museum. It's called The Museum of Applied Arts (Iparművészeti Múzeum) and is housed in one of the most representative Hungarian Art Nouveau buildings. Traditional Hungarian design elements merged with Islamic and Hindu motifs along with Art Noveau influence characterize the building. The museum, designed by architect Ödön Lechner and built between 1893 and 1896, is richly decorated with terracotta tiles.
The roof was all green
Everything was intricate
It was more like a palace
I particularly liked their Art Nouveau collection!
Which is mostly what I photographed as well.
Oriental section, an exquisite axe, and archery arrow holders.
Exotic tent
Do you like museums?
What about Art Nouveau?
