I don't know why but I remember this card game called Yu Gi Oh. I don't know if you have ever heard of it but this mythical beast looks like something you would get from that game.
Well the Hill of Valcotta doesn't seem like a hill I'd want to go to often. I wouldn't want to in the way of this vast obscure black creature. It seems like if you go there, the only thing you are doing is asking for death.
