Black and White Drawings

As an artist I love colors and I'm always amazed to see how they can influence our mood and emotions.
Yet black and white has a very special place in my heart. The absence of colors creates a unique atmosphere for me, a kind of silence where the message gets across more clearly.
I used to work a lot in graphite and charcoal, that is until I got swept by the oil colors and their wonderful range of expressions.
Here are some works done on black cardboard with white pastel. It's been a while since I made them and sometimes I miss the simplicity and the clarity of black and white.
