Hand-made Polymer Clay Gift Box ~ Original Work
One of my friends is celebrating her birthday this upcoming weekend, and I was not sure what to get her for her special day.
I love making people gifts in stead of just buying something in the shop, I believe that it is more personal and unique.
I decided to make her a gift box decorated with polymer clay.
I started with the black polymer clay as a base then built up the bird design that I created from there. For the bird body I used a river stone that I picked up at her farm on my last visit. Every feather was made individually then put in place for the tail and wings, and then I finished the head.
The clay was baked and then once cooled it was attached the gift box lid with glue. Finally I varnished the clay.
I decided to put some candy inside the box because it always feels odd to me giving someone an empty box
I really hope that she will like it!

Wow. i wish i had such creative arts built within me. I believe your friend will be super happy with the gift. Personally, i dont often get anything on my birthday so the little thing such as calling me to wish me happy birthday alone
The same with me, but I love giving people gifts, because people give me gifts every day, not actual gifts, but gifts of love, kindness and understanding, and that to me is a bigger gift than anyting that you could think of wrapping up and putting a ribbon on :D
