Open Invitation to Crafters - #NeedleworkMonday
Please join us every Monday at #NeedleworkMonday for sharing and promotion of your handiwork!
Our initiative founder, @crosheille, created this community to "spread needlework art and get it displayed." She's onto something here, and this is a great opportunity for those of us who love the seemingly lost arts associated with needlework to share our gifts.
Who should participate:
People who:
- Sew and are seamstresses
- Crochet
- Knit
- Are ribbonwork artists
- Make doll clothes
- Embroider
- Counted cross-stitch
- Make costumes
- Are textile artists
- Make tatting
- Make crewel
- Make any art involving a needle
How to participate:
Every Monday, make a post of your creations past or present, and be sure to use the tag #NeedleworkMonday. It also wouldn't hurt to include the tag within the text or title of your post.
How you will benefit:
- Meet others who share your passion for needlecrafts
- Learn tips, patterns and techniques
- Encourage and inspire others with your work
- Be in an environment that supports your work
- Get visibility to your work
The group #NeedleworkMonday has gotten pretty popular these past few months and more crafters are starting to share. Several of you who have in the past made posts about sewing, knitting, crochet, ribbonwork, and embroidery have already received direct invitations (via reply to your post) to join this amazing sub-community. We sincerely hope you will join in the fun and spread the word to other crafters about this fantastic and supportive community.

My mother made me arm warmers just like those. I told her to just knit a sleeve and leave a thumb hole.
She gave me the matching leg warmer for Christmas.
She also made me a full length patch work knitted, hooded coat, that is something to behold 😂
I hope I remember to post on Monday.
I made an upcycled reversible messenger bag out jeans and a silk pillow case too, that I am very proud of.
I am new to the world or stitching.

Hey @crystalize . I am happy that you liked our work and also I am happy to engange with other comunity. if you consider I am expert in craft it will be wrong. But I have willing mind to support my community women who are underprivileged. My investment helping them to get training for free and also allowing them to get some fund so they can use the money for child education and other family needs. @girlbeforemirror is also part of the project through her great contribution and donation. I will discuss with her to know how we can involve with it. I also created my project account @womenempowerment to start work with it separately.
my another project @SchoolForSDG4 is a charity school. I will be happy to chat with you to know more about you and how we can help to develop women work. I am going back to chat with @girlbeforemirror. Thanks a lot.

Sorry for all the bumps along the way--I was a little sleepy yesterday. LOL. So far, I think we have about seven affirmative responses, and hopefully more coming. I hope the fact that this Monday is Christmas doesn't discourage participation, but if so, we will pick them up again next Monday..because I'm going to post about it again next Sunday. Hee! It is my pleasure to help and I love your idea. We will build it!
