Apocalyptic Oil Painting Time-Lapse Video. "End Times"

Taking a step away from the nature stuff for a minute. I haven't posted any of my paintings or other artwork in quite a while. I was just going through my phone and looking through some of the videos I had stored on it, and I came across this time-lapse video I made of my "End Times" painting; one of my favorites from last year. Actually, the year before, I think. I made this painting just a few days after the 2016 presidential election. I didn't have any political agenda behind me when I was making it, but I do wonder if it creeped into my subconscious a bit. I made several dark paintings around that time, which is unusual for me as I normally do Bob Ross style landscapes.

But i just wanted to know more about this painting i mean the concept?
I'm not really certain if I had a concept, really. I didn't like any of the candidates in my countries election, but when a reality TV star won, I think I just felt like it was going to be in the end. I started just painting the mushroom cloud, but the silhouettes in the foreground was actually an after thought. I was going to do flowers, but thought people might have more impact. Especially with the little girl and teddy bear.

Haha! Sick. Let's hope the future doesn't come to this. Needs more sunglasses. lol. Odd that hair due looks a little familiar. Nice touch with the teddy bear. Adds that nice twisted play of imagery.

lol I didn't even notice the hairdo thing. That may have be subconscious too. The painting may have even more symbolism than I intended haha. Hold the hand of a little girl in the middle of no where, like a creep and all...
