Shipping Container Painting

Painting of two Siamese Fighting Fish on a freight container.

With this piece I wanted to capture the motion and fluidity of two fish in water.
The paint is mostly put on with a plastic spattle to achieve a sense of flux and movement. Only in the background there are brushes used.
I worked from a photographic sketch that was composed in Photoshop.
For materials I used exterior wall paint as a medium and some spray paint. Brushes, rollers and plastic spattels.
The container is still in use for a transport company and gets to move around to different places.
It took about 4 days to complete.

Second day of painting. The first fish is emerging.
