Watercolor art process

Here is some insight into how I created this mixed media piece. I started off by sketching the figure of the woman.

Then I added a wash of light blue over the figure and established some of the darker areas.

I continued adding more layers and added some circles in the background where I then filled with yellows and greens.

I also painted the bottom black using acrylic paint and once I had that base down I used color pencils to add more darker tones to the figure and used a pen to add patterns into the circles. I also used a white pen to add the designs on top of the black acrylic.

This is an amazing combination of techniques. I love it! It's very creative and detailed. For some reason it makes me think of India :)
