BIRTHDAY PORTRAIT

This portrait was a really special one for me to work on. My friend’s dad and mom actually share the same birthday, and he asked me to create a birthday portrait for them as a gift.

It turned out to be more challenging than I expected because I was sick for about a week, which slowed me down a lot. In total, it took me about three weeks before I could finally deliver the finished piece.

What made it even more meaningful is that this wasn’t the first time I’ve done a portrait for him. Last year, I created one of him and his aunt, so coming back this year to create something for his parents felt like continuing a tradition.

Even with the delays, I’m glad I pushed through because this wasn’t just another portrait — it was a way of celebrating two people’s birthdays at once and giving my friend something truly personal to share with his family.
