🎨 A new painting finished!

in #art8 years ago

Even though it's quite a small piece it took me a while to finish it. The idea to put a robot into a dress was inspired by this sketch by Donna Davis (@donnadavisart). I guess I'll try more variations of this motif, with different robots, poses and environments. I'm still not quite happy with the title Gynoid-Bride and I hope I'll come up with something more fitting to this series.

Again, I am so honored that you were inspired by me. As you, too, inspire me with our amazing work. In a way I feel my Singularity creatures live in a sort of parallel place to your world but that they might both dream of one another when they 'power down' :)

I love the moody and dark quality of your palette as it's subtlety is so brillant and certainly inspiring. The technique on her gown also is so rich with detail and also story, I wonder has she been trailing through the muddy landscape behind her? Does she rest for 100 human years as a simple sleep for her, thus gathering the dust of the ages? Really so good.

I can't wait to see others of yours in this series. I am happy to think we are concurrently creating such creatures to share the world here on Steemit. Maybe they will become the goddesses of the Steemit, and receive due adulation from their mere mortal followers ;)

Thanks Donna!

Quite sinister! Also poetic, in a dark and ominous way...
Marvelous detail work!

Thank you Sabina!

So in love with her! <3 <3 <3
Any chances you'll be putting her on merchandise, like t-shirts/ mugs/ towels/ etc.?

I'd need a reliable and fair print-on-demand company for this. Can you recommend me something?

I'm not sure as to who would be the best option.. perhaps @thermoplastic & @donnadavisart could recommend, as they both have active merch shops?

Yeah, I need to look into this. It's just so tedious to set up these online stores...

I know, that's why I haven't set mine up yet either ;D
But then we could all enjoy having this marvelous bride on everything ^_^

so cool! love the style...
i think the round piece of metal behind her should be a little bigger. make it stand out!
can't wait to see what else you're gonna do in this style and setting.

You are right, the whole head-disc section is half-baked and I'm not really happy with it. I'm about to figure something out for the next painting.

This is exquisite, @gric. I followed the previous work in progress post and it is such a pleasure to see the end product. I LOVE this one. It's amazing how you've made the shine and the dirt in the dress stand out. And those creases! Beautiful piece, this one.

Wow, you're such a great talented artist! I really like your hauntingly creepy art, they must look even better in real life. I'm going to watch you, have a good day :).

Beautiful design and very intricate finish. The forest at the background is very bleak and very gorgeously done. The dress is elegant. The bride's smile is a little haunting. Really outstanding work.

Wow! I love this kind of style. Something cyberbunk based and gothic stuff. Its very original!

Nice work on the curves of the drapery! I found it very hard to draw it sometimes.

sehr cool

Danke Tom!
