New Glitched Art! And my thoughts on Memes and 'infringement' joke.
Every photo in this post is original LOL. I think of memes as folk songs! No one owns them! The culture is fair game. Every photo and cartoon out there can be memed! Every single shot in a movie can be memed! I don't believe in copyright for pictures only in words used in court! LOL. Memes are folk art! Imagine we could no longer use a photo from any movie, celebrity or politician ever!! because we were sooo scared of copyright! LOL too funny!! The current corporate atmosphere has made the mass mute! They can't even quote the culture they live in for fear of being sued!! How utterly pathetic! Nah! Fuck that noise.
I even believe in getting paid for fair use! Quote your culture. Post a music video. Sure. Make something from it. We have to live with this shit. All these brutal movies and t.v. Horrible social media. Terrible politics. We should be able to quote it and get paid for it as compensation for having to live with it!! I want to post a meme every hour criticizing the government with the politicians picture and I want to make allot of money!! Fuck them!
I think we should run with it and do as much as we can. By the time the corps have time to worry about copyright all their money will be gone! That's the strategy I think we should go for. Folk song the entire culture itself, then no copyright would be necessary. I believe when art is created and put out into the public that no one owns it then. Everyone owns it then. That's why I create art. To give it away yet still get some form of compensation. But not a witch hunt for people making a few bucks from someone else's art. We live in a stupid economic system!! I'm not saying everything should be given away for free, just saying once the art is created even the artist doesn't own it anymore. That's fair. I still support original artists and musicians. I buy their stuff. So why not making some money from them (not saying make fake shirts and cd's to rip them off but what about if you got a following/compensation for promotion) so you can buy more of their stuff!? Don't be greedy, give it back to the artists eventually. Giving it back would be creating your own art for others to steal too! Don't just rely on other artists for entertainment! Create some of your own too. Using others arts and ideas can be a form of promotion to the original artist or homage to their ideas. Paid promotions! C'mon!
Oops I hope glitche and ghost and the shell don't sue me. I hope Mac doesn't sue me for writing this blog on a Mac. I hope the government doesn't charge me for earning magical internet money that doesn't really exist. Can we just go ahead and have some fun and not be so bloody scared of copyright with memes? I like to share memes. I like to share ideas. I like to share songs or whatever. Any sector of society is a niche market for being liked on social media. Someone is going to like anything! Someone will get a following, earn some crypto! So what!!! LOL
Alright. Fair enough. I've followed you for a long time. Never once thought about stealing your posts and presenting them as my own, for profit. I suppose that would be okay with you if I did, but I won't. It's a respect thing. Even though I don't agree with your attitude here, I still won't steal your work. ....I won't vote for it either. If you remix it you could let me know about it! It's the ideas that are most infectious anyway. There is no copyright on ideas. That's why when it comes to a court setting one could copyright certain terns of phrase for specific use to combat the vocabulary the existing laws are written in. Culture is more of a thought experiment. We use each others ideas without even consciously knowing it. There are no thought police that would tax your mind or if you used someones ideas to help with your own similar idea.
If I paint a house, I want to be able to say, "I painted that house, it's the result of my work." If someone came along and said they painted it, and the client gave that liar the money instead of me, I'd be pissed. I'm not sure why artists these days have to be treated like shit just because they want the credit and the money for the work they did. For me, personally, I'm an independent artist. Yet I get lumped into this pile of trash just because I want to be able to own what I worked on.
I've heard what you said from thousands of other people. Same words, same script. You think you're 'free thinkers', "can't own a thought." None of these artists even say they want to own thoughts. My only question is how did you and others like you get so deeply brainwashed that you all think the same way. There are artists. We fought governments and corporations to own the rights to our work...and now these dictator type people are trying to take that away from us. It doesn't even make sense.

Thanks yea, I was glad I made some new art here. In a way I am leaning more towards original work. Still like making memes though. I want to copyright turns of phrase that could be used in court. Going after people posting pictures is poverty discrimination.
