She's A Fox...
Here is the stage-by-stage progression of this allegory about a girl who is a fox, based on this drawing I did, mixed with a baby fox visitor I had near my house, and my love for and desire to use cardboard as a relief medium. I was looking at the work of Saugerties, NY resident, Norm Magnusson.
8.5" x 11" drawing - ballpoint pen on paper, 3/29/12
Using tracing paper and matte medium, I created a cardboard relief of this drawing and glued it to a piece of 1/8" scrap plywood I had lying around.
Having painted her in oils, the piece is at 13.5" x 14" with a "frame" made of cardboard and finished with tracing paper and matte medium.
I added some details in Sharpie to set a basis for the glazing process with the oils - some texture and base dark lines for the leaves, trees, rocks and waves.
Here I have begun to paint the colors in of the forest.
Shes A Fox, 13.5" x 14", Oil on Cardboard & Wood.
When this world was younger, humans could interact with the earth and creatures here in ways we have lost. Many tribes and cultures around the globe shared this ability. Our pineal gland, which is also called the Third Eye, acted as a portal which allowed us to communicate with all sentient beings, including rocks and trees. The pineal gland, when it functions well, also regulates sleep and vivid dreams, psychic experiences, imagination, etc.
Sodium Flouride, added to our drinking water under the guise of preventing tooth decay, but really a bi-product of industrial waste, calcifies the pineal gland, slowly but surely preventing access to the other dimensions, our creativity, and our ability to communicate beyond words.
Why would our "government" who is here to "protect" us want to harm us? Because we are asleep if we believe any govern mind (mind control system) is here to protect us or to take care of us. We have been abdicating personal responsibility, and "they" are trying to kill us slowly, while squeezing every last ounce of labor out of us first.
This is a story of a girl who is part fox or a fox who is part girl - they are hanging out in the forest, and when they are apart, they speak to one another through their heart. They are secret friends. But in the forest they can be "out" about their friendship. In the forest they are free to be who they truly are without pretending. It is that time when hugging a tree, meant getting hugged back.

pretty good abstract art.
thank you @dixonloveart
This is just stunning. I really enjoyed the story and the realization of the story from drawing to painted relief is absolutely stunning. Thanks for sharing!
thank you @xyanthon!
Very creative work.
@michaelstobiersk thank you!
I love this. I often dream of a future where humans and wild animals can live in close proximity and befriend each other.
Where did you see a baby fox?! I've only seen big ones around here, but that must mean there are little ones somewhere.
on E. Princeton Ave by where I used to live - south of Tamarac. It was playing in the yard across the street from my house.
