Well, I suppose it could be moving faster, but then again who doesn't feel that way? And in many ways, I feel like it has taken an extraordinary amount of energy just to keep my chops at the same level as when I finished my academic training you know?
Yes, even a trained musician needs to keep the practice in. I find the continual practice not only keeps the standards up, but also benefits productivity.
