Thanks very much for your response, roadtohorizon. In answer to your questions, the river Turia still flows, but bypasses the center of the city. The bridge I painted, one of sixteen bridges that span the old riverbed, still stands. Underneath the bridges lies one of the most beautiful urban parks I've ever seen.
