Now I will show some of my watercolor tricks. The pigments used are named in the tutorial.
1. First make a loose sketch from your your reference photo + figure out what the background shall look like
2. Mask the stuff you don´t want to ruin - with masking tape.
3. Paint the background wet-in-wet.
4. Unmask where the dog will be painted. Put on masking fluid for the lightest parts.
5. Paint the fur wet-in-wet, first with Ivory black - then let it dry - second with Neutral Tint.
6. Remove the masking fluid - To leave white is important! (I learned for an other time I put on to much in some areas - easier to scrape the whiskers)
7. Paint details - mostly with Neutral tint.
8. Remove and Voila!
